The son of a wealthy art collector accused of trying to murder the live-in maid at his family's luxury £20million home is receiving treatment in a psychiatric unit, a court heard.
Maximillian Bourne, 25, is said to have repeatedly stabbed Joselia Pereira Do Nascimento at the five-bedroom property in Chelsea on February 25.
Ms Pereira Do Nacimento suffered wounds to her face and back but her injuries were not life-threatening.
Bourne faces one charge of attempted murder and was due to enter his plea today but the hearing was adjourned until 15 August.
He is currently held in the Three Bridges medium secure psychiatic unit in Ealing, west London and Judge Justin Cole said simply: 'The attendance of Mr Bourne will be excused.'

Ms Pereira Do Nacimento was allegedly attacked while working as a maid at the property.
Bourne is the son of art dealer and philanthropist Sylvia Bourne and property developer Graham Bourne.
He is the great great grandson of Epitácio Pessoa who was the President of Brazil from 1919 to 1922.
Mrs Bourne's father, Carlos Alberto Pessoa Pardellas, was a prominent diplomat who served as an ambassador to the UK.
Bourne's current trial date is 7 October.
